These bibs function well and are waterproof as advertised. They didn’t get more stars because they are not soft to the touch and the velcro is not the soft kind you find on other baby clothes, and it tears up other fabrics in the wash so i have to remember to always fasten the bib together before washing. Also, these are a size “2″ which is too big for a newborn.

My son has had a major problem with spitting up since day one. All the bibs I had previously been using were not waterproof at all! They were just a layer of terry cloth and usually after just spitting up once the entire bib was soaked completely through and his clothes were soaked too, meaning that he usually went through at least three outfits a day. If not more! Which also meant constant laundry! These bibs are wonderful! They are a lifesaver. I am no longer doing laundry on a daily basis or every other day for that matter. They are still soft, with a layer of terry on the front and back and than a layer of waterproof material sandwiched in between. No matter how much my son spits up now it never soaks through. The bibs are also reversible which makes it where not just one side starts looking worn. Not to mention these bibs are also ecofriendly! That is always a plus in my opinion!

I have a 10 week old baby and I’m breastfeeding. Milk often overflows from my baby’s mouth (I have a lot of milk) and drips on the bib a lot. After each feeding I found that regular bibs were soaked and so were my baby’s clothes. I began to use a plastic bib underneath the regular bib to avoid wetness. I bought these bibs because they were advertised as “waterproof” and thought I could get rid of the “second” bib, but they did not work for me. I don’t understand why they other reviews say that they are waterproof. After feedings, I found these bibs wet on both sides, just like other regular bibs. The velcro is good, and the colors are cute, but I will have to continue to use a plastic bib underneath as I was doing before with regular bibs. They are not completely waterproof.

I ordered these bibs knowing what other reviewers stated about them and how they were not water-proof. I have to agree with them, but they are so much better than the regular cotton bib. I don’t have to change my son’s bib as often now, but still change it a couple times a day. His shirts don’t get soaked in an instant like with the regular bibs, but still must keep an eye on saturation with these bibs. Overall, I would say buy them, they do look nice and come in some nice colors that actually match some outfits, but don’t expect miracles because they do leak through with enough spit and drool.
The other set of 5 come in colors that are more appealing. The white and darker blue get used a lot when I need my son to have a matching outfit. This pack may contain some colors one may not care for, I would recommend and wish I purchased 2 of the other 5 pack instead of one of each.

the cloth used for this product is too stiff to be kid-friendly. even though it is absorbent, but it scratches baby’s neck area. would NOT recommend this for other parents.
